Signage is required to remind park visitors that dogs must be restrained on leashes and that dog waste must be picked up. Additionally, Parks and Beautification should install dog waste bag kiosks and trash cans for bagged waste that would be emptied on a regular basis.

Thank you for reporting this issue to the Macon-Bibb Public Works Department. This issue will be addressed as soon as possible.

Pets allowed to run off leash and resultant accumulating pet waste throughout adjacent parks (Jackson Springs Park and WG Lee Camellia Garden) and connecting trails continues to be a significant public health and safety issue.

The pet issue is a constant battle for Parks and Beautification. We are working towards a solution.
