Where do you suppose we should get the money to pay for the Engineered Design and Construction of a redesigned intersection? All the Little Jimmies think money grows on trees, but that's just not the case.

Passing on the right hand of a vehicle awaiting a left had turn is NOT leagal unless it is a designated through lane (which it is not on 15 Avenue East). In order to have a designated through lane there must be at least 3 lanes in one direction (traffic act). Whoever planned this City should be flogged. Have we ever heard of service roads? Why not have a service road feeding both sides of Cornerstone and cut down on the number of lights. The north Zellers light should be taken out and the access to the north Zellers parking lot put on 12 street to get rid of 1 light. A little city like North Battleford made Territorial Drive that goes right around the city. Why can't any City Planner here do some decent work. This horrible planning has been going on for 50 years in this City. Look at the intersection of Central and 28th. Horrible sight lines, heavy traffic and no turn signals pathetic.

I agree with Anvil about the haphazard road and intersection design here. There are so many examples, but the temporary traffic lights on center medians, overuse of meaningless traffic signs, inadequate lane width, and poor lines-of-sight are some of them. I guess if one lives here long enough, they get used to it, and don't notice how absurd it really is.

Agreed! I also hate 15th Ave E and 22nd Street...it can be extremely dangerous trying to make a left hand turn onto 15th from 22nd during busy times.

Passing on the right is NOT LEGAL nor is it a "legitimate traffic maneuver". It is illegal and dangerous, and for some reason the police in PA ignore the problem. I was almost hit last week by someone doing this "legitimate traffic maneuver" on Central and 28th.

And I think we pay enough in taxes to expect proper intersections.

According to this website, Question 9 of the Road Rules Test indicates that it is in fact permissable to pass on the right if the vehicle in front of you is about to turn left.

Having said that, this intersection is tricky and can be dangerous if people are not driving appropriately for the road conditions and traffic.

Pop quiz: You are eastbound on a single lane road and intend to turn left at an intersection. An oncoming driver also intends to turn left. Both drivers may proceed and turn left. A third PA driver westbound pulls around the driver in front of him and hits you. Question: How silly is he going to look using that website to justify his right of way?

An advance left turning arrow for traffic heading south on 15th turning onto Muzzy would aleviate some the congestion at that intersection.

buses should have their own area made to pull into like an extra "Parking Lane" long enough to accomodate all the buses.

I think an option would be another Avenue developed off 15st E. well past the 15/15 intersection, and a right turn lane built into it. that would alleviate the conjestion at Muzzy.

the cops should be there ticketing these people. The law states that you may only pass in a situation when the car to your left has not entered the intersection.This means if a car planning to turn has moved up pass the stop line and car behind them cannot go around them since there is only one lane. but the cops won't ticket people for doing it since they also do it. Also it should be noted that if you are hit passing on the right at this intersection when the car to your left has passed the stop line and entered the intersection. you are at fault for any accidents and if you hit someone they do have the right to sue.
