Description
Is there a reason why the City is posting six public notice signs at this corner lot? A little excessive. It appear that one or two would suffice considering their size. The City could better use funds for other things.

Once again the owner of this property (Walgreens) is not maintaining it resulting in a code violation

The purpose of the six signs located on the Walgreens property is to effectively advertised and to give the public notice of 9 variances that have been requested by Walgreens. The city is required to place signs on all street frontages associated with the subject property and also required that the lettering be of a certain size. Based on those requirements, all 9 variances could not be placed on one or two signs. Also, manufacturing and posting of the sign on a property related to a public hearing is paid directly by the applicant and not by the city.
Please be assured that once the variance hearing has been concluded, the signs will be removed accordingly.
