Description
We have had water sitting at the edge of our driveway from rainfalls & snow for almost a year now.
It started right after the City repaired a fire hydrogen that was leaking somewhere in our neighborhood it seems. I thought it was a Board of Water & Light problem so I sent them an e-mail and they were so responsive and came right out, however it was in January and there was too much snow & and an ice build up at the edge of our driveway, so they said once the snow melted they would return, which they did. The repairman told me that it is a City of Lansing problem, and they believe it is caused because the City has not repaired a pipe in the street, almost in front of our house (4122 Rivershell) The street surface is not flat and the Board of Water & Light said they reported it to the city in 2012 that they needed to repair it, but it hasn't. I was told that could be the reason that water sits at the edge of our driveway for days before drying up and then rain or snow again. We desperately want this repaired. Below is the comment from the Board of Water & Light:
Shellie Starkey, BWL Communications Specialist (Registered User)
Water crew and customer met about the end of driveway holding water, it is dry now and only holds water after a rain. She is to contact the City regarding this issue.
Would you please repair this so we do not have to go through another summer with water along the curb and especially at the end of our driveway.
Thank you in advance for your immediate attention:
