I think most of the issue on the Sellwood bridge is caused by the poor design of Tacoma through the sellwood area. Letting drivers turn left and clogging traffic is the dumbest thing I have seen in the Portland area. Since if their are cars parked in the right lane and someone waiting to turn left in the left lane then all traffic is stopped. One of the biggest reasons people I know will never shop at any of those businesses on Tacoma. Their needs to be away to get in and out without getting stuck waiting for someone to turn left. It is faster to turn right, right again and right again then it is to turn left once.
