In addition, when facing north on Mountain Road, the traffic light takes "forever" to change from red to green. I observe many, many drivers taking a RIGHT on RED because of this. Accidents waiting to happen

Note: The light delays approximately 1 1/2 seconds when changing from red to green. This is due the light being situated on the crest of the hill on Bloomfield Ave.

We have been addressing this problem after a study was conducted by Public Works. Since 2016, we have conducted close to 400 motor vehicle stops directly related to traffic signal violations on Rt.305 at Mountain Road. We will continue our increased enforcement in this area.

Can the lights on Bloomfield Ave, from Exit 37 N and S going East on Bloomfield be staggered? I have seen many a vehicle speed up to hit all the lights, except the one at MT and Bloomfield which they run. The trees on the corners of the intersection also block the view if a pedestrian is using the crosswalk, which is another issue for the vehicles flying upon Bloomfield towards 91. It is just not safe at all. River of LIfe doesn't want you cutting through their lot, which I respect, going down to come out Sheffield is another option, but difficult. I should be able to come out of my road safely which I don't.

I reported the v-e-r-y long light going north on Mountain over a month ago.This morning, there were 5 cars lined up facing NORTH on Mountain and three facing SOUTH, when the light finally changed. Then 3 cars/trucks went through the red light going EAST on Bloomfield Ave and 2 trucks going WEST on Bloomfield Ave. I understand it's a state road, but.....
