Mô tả

At the 4-way intersection of Washington St. and South St./Baker Ave., there are a set of painted arrows on South Street heading north to indicate which lane to use for going left or right.

However, there is no arrow to indicate which lane should be used to go straight onto Baker Ave. This is VERY confusing for the following reasons:

1. Baker Ave. is offset from South St., so it is not COMPLETELY straight ahead, but offset to the left (when you are facing north).
2. Most intersections use the right lane to go straight, but the offset mentioned in reason 1 makes going straight indicate a slight left turn. This can create situations where cars in the right and left lanes are both trying to go onto Baker Ave. (which is a small 1-lane road).
3. The right lane has a specific right-turn signal on the stop light. If a driver uses the right-lane to travel straight onto Baker Ave. and they are at the front of the line, then traffic will be stopped when this light turns green (since the drive is not allowed to go straight - only turn right).
