Diane drive to Brent drive, to lynn drive, heavy raod cracks, manhole at corner of brent and diane drive sinking with road. storm runoff not draining to catch basins as should as road edges settled over years on brent.
actually Diane Drive has so many potholes before brent drive and the manhole cover it question that the town of vernon should just dig the road up and put a better base down. there are far too many natural springs coming down from Box Mt area that go thru back yards and undermine the roads. I know of catch basins in back yards from Diane, Foster, Michael , Brent , and russell drives that have not seen maintenance in decades, Pipes collapsed? much less road resurfacing since 1976. lower Brent Drive storm run off leaves end of driveways with either major puddles or ice patches due to road edges sinking, hence, poor drainage/runoff. neighbors basements still get water after a heavy rain or snow melt off due to spring water and drainage issues.
no luck as of yet. The town called me and said they agree the road conditions in above mentioned, as well as man hole cover are in need of repair..months ago. they did come out and use spray paint around manhole cover, repaired some catch basins farther up the road in same neighborhood, but nothing else. Apart from homeowners having good suspensions or a good front end alignment check every other month..it's tough cookies to us as usual. I dont think there is any more town politicians that live in this neighborhood anymore.
two weeks ago the Town Road crews were paving small stretches of roads mentioned in original issue here. They did a decent job, although one home owner wasnt that happy about the storm runoff even worse at bottom of his driveway where new tar is. Whomever checks on their work done, needs to come look at how the runoff puddles up in that regard with a catch basin at other end of homeowners property after a storm. Winter is even worse with ice/slush..and that is one heck of a safety issue.

According to the Town of Vernon Diane Drive and Brent Drive were rehabilitated in FY 2014. Please close the issue if this is correct.
