Tonight 4/11/14, there are buses from Hopkins parked one block in from Forest on Edgewood Avenue. Really???? Does Hopkins have any legal parking??

Today there were 4 cars parked at this location. School will soon be over and then this will become a non- issue. Perhaps I should contact Hopkins administration directly. Do not want this area to become an overflow parking lot for Hopkins students!

I met with Hopkins officials this morning and advised them of the parking on Knollwood. They will also monitor but stated most likely it is not Hopkins faculty parking there because they have added ample parking inside the school. Will keep monitoring it.

It is Hopkins students not faculty parking on Edgewood/ Forest. I have seen the kids parking and walking up the hill. Is that a legal parking area?

Today on Edgewood on the right hand side just downhill a few yards from the light there were three cars until late afternoon. Very dangerous place to park!

It's not a "dangerous" place to park. It may be illegal but I'm not aware of any "No Parking" signs that would inform someone to not park there. As for the danger, the speed limit is 25 MPH and that intersection has a great walk signal and traffic light.

Not dangerous if you are a passenger, but dangerous for a driver. Drivers coming around the corner from Forest turning downhill don't see someone as quickly exiting from a driver's side of a parked car. The walk light and signal have helped tremendously, but cars often try to beat the light at Forest and Edgewood. Maybe "No Parking" signs should be in place at least near the intersection, with parking allowed further down the hill.

I just want to know if it is illegal and if so, ticket those cars. I agree with Mom. Westville Resident, if you think people are really going 25 mph at this intersection or going down Edgewood Avenue, you haven't been spending much time in the neighborhood.
