It is a problem and it is being addressed in the quiet zone plan.
This crossing will be closed and made a dead end.
Check the Cohoes City website.
The power Point presentation should be there for the plans on which crossing will be closed and the plans to upgrade the other crossings in the city with concrete walls and extra gates to prevent drivers from being able to do this at any crossing in the city.
What ever became of the "Quiet Zone" plan, to close crossings, install more gates, and stop the train horns ? Is that plan scrapped, or is it still moving forward ? Anyone know ?
