Unfortunately, no government departments will assist you with this issue. If you call our city, they will tell you to contact our state's DEEP (Department of Energy and Environmental Protection), and if you call DEEP, they will tell you to contact our city. WTF (What the fiddlesticks), right?
So, the contact information given to you by our city's Health Department was inaccurate. You won't get any assistance from "New Haven County Animal Services" to remove raccoons.
We are trying to delineate issues that are current and need the city's attention to resolve. Any issues prior to 2023 are being closed. If your issue remains and needs to be addressed by the city, please either re-open or open as a new See Click Fix issue. Thank you.

You need to contact the company "New Haven Wildlife Animal Control". Their phone number is 203-584-9038. You can see their website here... http://www.wildlifeanimalcontrol.com/New-Haven.html
Heads up, the service to remove wild animals is NOT free.
I hope this information helps.
