Description
2113 E. Arbor Dr NW has a trailer on it that is covered by grass that got so high it turned into what you might call a 'cane break'. The trailer at one during the winter had a family of raccoons living it that would raid the trash cans of neighboring homes. Also, while the trailer owner has said no one is living in the trailer at this time, there is a truck parked there sometimes at night. One night it knocked over a mailbox when pulling out of the drive way.

nothing has changed. everything still looks the same as the attached pic. I'll accept a close of the issue when the grass is no longer high, raccoon and other animals no longer occupy the property, and the address is no longer occupied by the homeless after dark. nothing has changed. everything still looks the same as the attached pic. Attaching another pic. So, what happens if the home owner and the city of Huntsville take no action for such an extended period of time, that the grass/weeds grow into shrubs, bushes, and vines, to where animals take nest in the house, and homeless people live there at night? Awesome, good deal and thank you. However, nothing over 8 inches in height has been removed from the property, therefore this issue is still open.
I've contacted a local news station asking if they'd like to run a story on this issue. Below is the email I sent them:
"Take a look at the following see click fix post:
https://seeclickfix.com/issues/1011603-high-grass-weeds
Then drive by 2113 East Arbor Dr NW 35811 and see if the high grass and weeds warrants a 'taking action getting results story'?
Thank you,
eastArborResident"

Dang dude
you've only given them a few days to fix this problem.
Have you ever heard of patience?
If the house has been this trashy for so long why are you just now reporting it????
They can't just wave a magic wand and make the yard disappear.

"Have you ever heard of patience?"
I have lots of patience. I disagree with closing the ticket as the issue is not fixed.
"If the house has been this trashy for so long why are you just now reporting it????"
I was unaware of the 'see, click, fix' website and its utility with respect to reporting issues.
"They can't just wave a magic wand and make the yard disappear."
True. We live on the earth and not in a fantasy land. However, what 'they' can do is speak about the issue with respect and work to solve the problem, understanding that due to inaction on their part and home owner's:
- grass and weeds have grown so high they've turned into shrubs
- animals and the homeless have taken residence in the house

"Is the property abandoned?"
The property is currently primarily occupied by various wildlife; raccoon/possums. However, per HCD's comment on 4-15-14, the property owner's 'grandson' also resides there occasionally amongst the various wildlife.
"Can the neighborhood not get a petition for them to clean up their property?"
I have spoken with adjacent property owners, and a petition has been mentioned. However, it has not yet been circulated.
"There has to be something someone can do- since it seems like HCD is trying to just close the issue!"
If you view the page here on 'see, click, fix', please cast a vote for this issue.

The yard is in the process of being cleaned up, but the work is not yet complete. Logging in and posting comment to update per received automated 'see, click, fix' email. Thanks, eastArborResident
