Did you happen to call the city? Even email them. I'm not sure any street is worse than any other. Our street hasn't been swept yet either, and I am not sure I've ever seen it swept, but I assume they will get to main arteries and roads where the most gravel was put down in the winter. Why not give the city a shout and ask?

What should they do with people who do not move their cars during street sweeping and the city should has to come back and finish the job.Tow or ticketing.

I don't believe that anyone is whinning. All this dirt makes our city appear very dirty!! Its not clean at all and hard to bike ride in the dirt/gravel/stones/glass. Where are the street sweepers?

all the streets that have NOT been swept yet are the same! I'm pretty sure they're all in the same state. grow up already!

Well today we noticed some streets that city councillors reside on, all nicely clean.
Yet, for example, if you drive all along 1st street east. I don't think that entire street has EVER been cleaned.
How fair is it for those tax paying citizens to have to wait for rain to wash away the dirt, grime, garbage and gravel? Which incidentally, will not likely help.
Why are people saying others are whinning. I think everyone simply wants our city to look presentable.

Do you think the street sweeper operators are sitting around having coffee every day? They will get to it when the get to it. How about we hike taxes and buy a sweeper for every street in town. And hire an operator for each one. Then, the very second that the snow is gone, start them up and do EVERY street at the exact same time so no one is left out. I thought we were doing pretty good for what we have. And to be quite honest, I don't remember the last time I walked out my front door and thought, "wow I wish the city would sweep my street" I also live on the same street as a counsel member and I don't remember the last time it was done so that theory is down the toilet.

Aren't you scared that if they sweep it people will speed more???

wear safty goggles, dur! if you dont want sand in your eyes get a car, if you cant afford one, then you shouldnt be walking anywhere

south wood does not belong to the city because it is a development so the city does not do any work to the road surface untill a certain point when the contractor who did all of the work is done so call who ever that is and complain to them this is what happens when the city sells all of the land to private contractors and does away with their own works crews who used to do all of the water and sewer installations and road work so stop complaining about the city employees who are under budget because our mayor and city manager want to tender out all of the work the the city it self should be doing call city hall and complain to them support the city employees that are being cut back and your taxes are still going up for nothing
