Description
Approximately approximately 1 year ago, a contractor dug up the sidewalk in front of the house at 718 Pine Stree and plasced a fence around it, so that pedestrians must walk into the street. Construcytion activity has been almost nonexistent. Three calls to city authorities over the past 5 months have resulted in no change. This is a dangerous and unsightly condition.

Leaving aside the question of why a permit was issued permitting a homeowner to tear up the sidewalk and fence it in for over a year with no apparent need, the property is now totally impassable, with a huge snowbank obstructing access even to the street. The permit expires tomorrow. Will there be enforcement of the impending violation? Will the fence sidewalk be restored? Would "spt" be kind enough to identify himself?
