Is it possible to get the planners of all of these events on board with some type of comprehensive planning and notification system?It truly is an inconvenience to not have access to the buses..and no notice of street closings..this is ridiculous..Someone needs to go around door to door and hand out flyers in advance of these events..and post notices of bus routes also being changed.we are looking at two new events coming up in April alone.The Rock And Roll Marathon and Live And Local on Hillsborough Street..Thank you.

Notification for road races is handled by the race coordinator, based on policies established by the City. Generally organizers work very hard to notify individually property owners who are to be directly affected by the race, either in person or with door hangers. It is impossible to notify individually everyone who does not live directly on the route who may be affected, but please note that the City maintains a web site for all special events that involve road closings, and you can subscribe to an email blast that will notify you of any event that shows up on that page.
