    To Captain Michael McCabe,

    Captain McCabe, this is Brian Lyman, 726 Holyoke Rd. Once again the trucks running to and from the Lane quarry have started their relentless, all night runs, further deteriorating the quality of life in our neighborhood. I understand that there is little that can be done, although a city ordinance prohibiting the quarry to be operational between 8:00 pm and 6:00 am would seem to be a reasonable solution.

    Short of that, I would extend to you an invitation to put a sector car in my driveway at any time during the night to monitor the speed of these trucks. Many are now traveling much too fast for this road, I would estimate in the 40-45 mph range, particularly at night when other traffic is light. I am afraid that one slip up, nod off, or distracted driver could easily create a disasterous consequence.

    While walking the trail at Armsbrook Reservoir yesterday I noticed that Lowes is allowing all sorts of materials to blow into the wetlands at the rear of their property and over the fence into the conservation area.

    The traffic light, when making a left off of Pleasant St on to East Silver St, needs to have a protected left. It is extremely hard to make a left here because of all the traffic coming straight off South Maple St.

    We have reported the sidewalks damage in front of St. Mary's Church and school for the past year. It needs repairs. We have had our elderly trip and are concerned that during a funeral a casket will come off the rollers. We have our Founder's day Saturday 9/18 and people will be in this area following mass.
