Awaiting of incomplete 45 year old sidewalk, proper pavement signage for parallel parking. -Pending the No Outlet, Dead End sign by entrance corner of 42 and 18.

This morning 5-24-2017 Maintenance is building the temporary fence by their empty lot; in order for the City of Miami to complete the sidewalk and without vehicular damage to their better, stronger permanent fence. I congratulate Maintenance for diligently acting proactively towards this goal.

Awaiting on NRO to further assist with: Uber, Lyft, Curb, Taxis illegally taking over residential area. During 2013 Miami International Airport (MIA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) opened the McLaughlin Bridge. Before 2013 the taxis had not access to transit the area of Airport Villas. MIA and DOT created this situation to their advantage and do little to safely provide a solution to the residents.

From my office building I can hear the MIA taxis continuous rudeness and honking their cars. In my opinion Police has lost total control, vehicles for hire might leave the area when they see the patrols, but as soon as they can they return, lurk, pestering the residents. What is the possibility of 24/7 patrolling the area?

A good point from 42 and 18 neighbor “Robert 4301” and how can MIA allow bicycles and where is the Bicycle Route (diamond signage) on pavement? This neighbor, too, asked around and Miami Beach, Fashion District have the Residents Only Sign with $0.00 charge to the residents that pay FPL, garbage, water, utilities. (Residential permits are not permitted on commercial vehicles in accordance with Miami-Dade Sec.142-1103.)

Now, a homeless person is using the DOT old bus-bench to sleep. Since DOT refuses to allow school buses to safely maneuver U-Turns, then I encourage DOT to emulate MDAD by removing bus-bench and fencing the empty bus-loop lot. Ineptitude to the present situations are only creating more issues.

I am copying Commissioners as they have been very instrumental to the group of people we gather today for the assistance, safety and security of my neighborhood.

    Thank you for your assistance,

    Barbara Grant

the road leading to and around the train track, is poorly paved, or has been shifted due to the tracks. this causes a major road hazard for motorists. which could disable a vehicle or motorcycle traveling at the speed limit. most motorist are forced to stop in order to slowly drive over this hazard. it is on the group of tracks that is further west.
  • 12th Avenue Drawbridge Miami, Florida - Overtown
The street lights are out on both sides of the drawbridge and have been so since the hurricane. These are the lights right in the middle of the bridge and it is dark at night so people crossing the bridge can't be easily seen by the bridge operators and may be hurt or killed because of the lack of lighting. IT NEEDS TO BE FIXED!
