The "STONEHAM" sign that welcomes you to Stoneham on Montvale Ave near the intersection of Maple St is starting to show signs of wear and paint peeling. If the sign is refurbished now it would probably cost much less than waiting until it needs replacing. This sign is many peoples first impression of Stoneham.

I have to reiterate my concern that 2 Summer St residents have cut into a town fence risking the safety of children. Both properties have pools and access to a busy Summer St.

This area is a mess. Fences are broken and I walk by here every night.
    Can this area be cleaned-up?
  • 20 Pine St Stoneham, Massachusetts - Stoneham
Broken Fence at Munchkin park (steele Park) So every year the plows wreck this same fence and every year it needs to be replaced. Same as this year. Maybe we can stop pushing the snow into the fence and paying to repair it. Using the money to put back into our parks and playgrounds for the children

See Click Fix - This tool is a great benefit to the town. However as of late, it doesn't seem that all the town departments are taking the time to go in and respond to the posted issues and and close them out as appropriate. There are issues that have been open for months with no indication as to a final status or disposition. Obviously open issues should remain open but closed items or items responded to by the town and are unable to be fixed or are otherwise handled should be closed out. I'm not sure who the admin is for SCF but it needs some attention. The Police Dept is very good at responding to issues and closing them out in a timely manner. Others should follow their lead. Thank you for your time and attention.

Dust is pouring off of the property known as Weiss Farm at 170 Franklin Street at times enveloping Gerald Road
They have a watering truck that is sitting idle

    Please abate the dust
  • 40-48 Macarthur Rd Stoneham, MA 02180, USA - Stoneham
Resident of 44 MacArthur Road placed a large projection screen TV out for curbside trash collection. FOUR MONTHS AGO. The Resident has not paid the trash pickup fee for this oversized item and has chosen instead to just leave it on the sidewalk in front of his house. This TV has literally been sitting outside for four months. Can the Town do something about this? Bill him for the removal? Past SeeClickFix reports have gone unanswered.
  • 2-38 Winter Street Stoneham, Massachusetts - Stoneham
This is a town fence that a resident has put a gate into there back yard in which there is a pool and access to the street. Why is this permitted?

Synthetic Field? Many of my friends from other surrounding towns are asking me if Stoneham has any plans in place for a synthetic field? We seem to be the only town on the north shore without one? Maybe this the reason we are no longer in sports divisions with surrounding towns.
  • Summer St Stoneham, Massachusetts - Stoneham

I know the town is being proactive on working to straightening out our trash collection issues. Thank you. I assume capacity will be an issue when negotiating a new contract for trash collection.

My question is, how is the collection of commercial waste differentiated from residential Waste?
There are many residences in town that use curbside collection to put out trash for their commercial business. In all appearances these are residential Properties.

Unless you are aware of the issue, the large contractor bags filled with commercial waste are treated as residential collection.

I am not out just to give these businesses a hard time, but I feel that for-profit business should pay to have their trash collected as such, and not pass that cost along to the residential homeowner.

    Thanks .
