The lower end of Jerome Ave. (even numbers) has uneven sidewalks that fill up with water and snow-melt, which then refreeze, and are never properly cleared of snow and ice. This is very trecherous for walking, especially for the many elderly and people without cars walking to the bus stops and the shopping plaza. Also many young children use this sidewalk to go to school, I have witnessed parents trying to push strollers through, and cannot, end up walking in the road which is extremely busy. Most drivers on Jerome Ave. do not follow the speed limit, and I was almost hit today by a woman texting while driving which is another problem. Most homeowners shovel but there are many elderly on this street who may not be able to do a thorough job, also the Bristol Housing Authority should have employees properly clear the sidewalks in front of the Cambridge housing project before someone gets seriously hurt
