There are numerous accidents that occur at this intersection due to a blind corner at the bottom of a hill. At least 3 times a week I am almost personally hit at this intersection. There either needs to be a traffic light installed or a 4 way stop.. how many people need to be injured or lives lost in car accidents at this intersection before something is done?

For starters they need to trim back the trees for greater vision. They could also try to reconfigure and widen the road to take the blind bend out.

This intersection is in my neighborhood. When traveling north on Orangeburgh Rd, it is close to impossible to see cars approaching from the east on Old Tappan Rd. Very often I travel a mile out of my way to avoid that crossing when I’m not feeling “lucky”. I’m sure that statistics are available from the OT police that show how often an accident occurs at that intersection. I’m sure something can be done to make this intersection safer.

I believe this is a flashing yellow light and stop signs. Either way this is an insanely dangerous intersection that I avoid at all costs. I use the back roads through side streets to avoid it. This needs to be fixed before there’s a more fatal accident.

A double light could be put in. One at the top of where the hill is and one at the bottom. With signs leading up to it. Kind of like they have at some railroads or tunnels.

This intersection has had many accidents. It is a total blind spot when going across there are trees that block your sight from seeing on coming traffic by the time you see a car or they see you it is usually to late to stop. This is a serious problem that can be solved and can save a life. What is the town and county waiting for aren't numerous accidents a year enough to fix the problem.

For the safety of our community and those driving through we urgently need a stop light before a life is lost.

Accidents are happening here all the time. I personally have almost been hit at least two times this year! There is poor visibility and people seem to be confused with the caution/stop lights! We need a four way stop or a traffic light before it’s too late! I cringe every time I need to go through the intersection and I’m terrified for my kids. Please do something about this.
