Deskripsyon

The traffic lights at West Peachtree and Fifth have weird lenses in them that are probably supposed to serve some good purpose by "aiming" the light beams. But all they do is make the signals invisible. It's been this way for years. Please take them down and replace with modern LED signals.

This issue makes it especially difficult for people who are on bikes to see the the status of the traffic signal

See attached photo. The SECOND set of green lights is almost invisible.

And, from the right lane, the rightmost signal is invisible even close by. This is a failed experiment. Please replace with standard signal lights.

So this is now supposed to be the city's first "bike friendly" intersection,with green painted lanes and a Copenhagen left to get acrossWest Peachtree. You still cannot see the traffic lights from a bike.

This issue has been passed on to our traffic consultant who has advised that the traffic lights are working as designed and it is an appropriate strategy when two signals are in such close proximity to each other.
