The City of Atlanta's metal plate in the middle of the bike lane on 5th has caused several accidents for our many bicyclists. The only way to avoid it is to take over the car lane. The plate blends in with the asphalt and bicyclists aren't noticing it before it's too late. Some type of signage, a brightly colored metal plate, or a rubber road ramp would help.
