    *BLACK ICE HAZARD*

    There is a severe black ice problem heading southbound on CT-33 right at the Wilton/Westport city line where Westport Road turns into Wilton Road. I drive past here every morning from Wilton towards the Merritt Parkway, and there is a recurring water run-off problem on the southbound size of CT-33.

    This is a steep downhill, blind left curving road where and this morning at 7:25am a Jeep Wrangler got into a bad car accident from this black ice that stopped traffic in both directions. I tried to stop short, but my car immediately slid on the black ice and I had to swerve over the curb onto the grass narrowly missing the telephone pole. I then swerved back onto the road and my car finally stopped facing the wrong direction on the northbound side. Fortunately the accident stopped traffic in both directions and I avoided a head-on collision that could have been fatal.

    The cities of Wilton and Westport need to address this water run-off problem or heavily salt this section of the road. It's a recurring problem that I see every morning and the black ice was very bad this morning.

    There is a tow truck emitting a ton of exhaust on I-95. If anyone at DOT or DMV is reading this, you can make out the plate number if you download the photo. I'll bet anything that piece if junk either hasn't or won't pass emissions.

    A low hanging cable of some sort is still unrepaired, after the big storm. It is on private property, so perhaps the owners are not around?

    Weston Road, south of Easton Road and north of Cross Highway, contains many potholes- starting to look like a mine field for cars. The winter frost heaves must have made these but there are a lot of them- very large and dangerous. Please fix!

    The alley walkway between Vineyard Vines and Sunglasses Hut that leads go back parking lot is very dark and not well lit. When we work until after 8 at night it does not feel very safe. When clocks change it will be very dark.

    At the power sub-station, the telephone pole is broken and the top of the pole is hanging by the wires.
    Across the street, a tree branch is pulling on the top wires.

    This area past West Branch Road (leaving weston) on Weston Road needs to be fixed. There is a large patch of pot holes and an uneven roadway. I hate having to drive over it every day.
