Geddes Ridge Subdivision

With the library being built on N Harris, residents of the surrounding neighborhoods are concerned about the flow of traffic in this area - getting onto Geddes from N Harris without a light at this intersection is dangerous during rush hour and this is expected to become worse with the increased traffic from the library. One of my neighbors had her car flipped into a ditch by another vehicle that struck her as it was trying to beat traffic turning onto Geddes from Oakbrook subdivision - Would it be possible to have a traffic light installed at this intersection to slow traffic and allow citizens of the surrounding neighborhoods to safely pull onto Geddes?

Why was this 12/2/21 issue closed. This was given to Elena. WANTED A TRAFFIC LIGHT AT THIS INTERSECTION OF Geddes Rd. And Harris Rd. Subdivision residents can NOT GET ONTO GEDDES due to the enormous amount of traffic coming from 3 universities 2 large hospitals, a mirade of doctors office & technical offices that the 2 lane Geddes generates. Not to mention the hundreds if New homes that have been built in Subdivisions along Geddes.. It is the ONLY EAST, WEST WAY TO go from Canton to Ann Arbor. FORD ROAD & M14 ARE ALTERNATIVES but there aren't hundreds of homes & sub divisions that DON'T HAVE traffic lights. GEDDED HAS VEY FEW WITH 2 roundabouts up to M23. Thus is very inadequate for the 10 mile + stretch upto ann Arbor. The worst is from Ridge road to M23 intersection. PLEASE RECONSIDER closing this issue, especially since the new Library is going in on S. Harris near Geddes road.

Resident is requesting that we install speed limit signs on Ascot Drive.

This is about my third request since last year to have the trees in our subdivision trimmed (Geddes Ridge, at the cross section of N. Harris and Geddes Rd in Superior Twp). These are trees that were planted by the township in the easement back in the 1970s when this subdivision was established, that are not being properly maintained, and we are frequently having large branches 10' or larger falling in the road, on cars, and on sidewalks. This is a safety hazard and has not been properly addressed. The attached photograph is from today when high winds caused a 15'+ branch to fall into the sidewalk in front of 9099 Ascot Dr - It is only a matter of time before pedestrians are injured or property is significantly damaged. Please do some tree trimming in this neighborhood ASAP. This is negligent and may warrant a lawsuit if these are not being properly maintained and they end up causing damage to property or injuring pedestrians.

Received a call from resident stating that the ditches on the outside of the subdivision on Geddes Rd are overgrown and the visibility when turning is very bad. She believes it is more than 5 feet in from what our mowing contractor does. When speaking to Adam, he stated that if request was put in we could go take a look at it and see if it is something we could possibly mow.

Resident is requesting stone patch on Harris Rd just north of Geddes Rd.

Resident reported series of potholes on Ascot Drive onto Harris Rd.

Resident reporting brush is overgrown blocking the sight distance from Andover to Geddes
