Valdosta District 5

It’s back! 9 City Stormwater workers cleaned up this City Property about a month ago. Stormwater Manager Angela Bray was so eager to get this cleaned up on 5 March 2022 she said “Since it was on City property, I didn’t want to wait for a decision to be made on which department would handle such issues” That time the 9 workers picked up 10 bags! Gotta love that commitment to the community and the environment!

Will they be so eager to clean up the same area again this time?

Or will this be closed out with no action as City Marshall Winston Williams did when he said “There are no violations at this property” on the adjacent property where much of this trash was washed down from during recent rains.

Lets see which one and how long it takes do either!

Also the adjacent property is still trashed and will send more on over to the City side and also into the Withlacoochee River! So why do the City Marshalls refuse to notify the property owner?

Several Divots and potholes on this entire street. You have to meander from roadside to roadside to avoid them

People parking at Wal-Mart on the stripes and the fire lane and leaving them there while they shop.

This is ridiculous nothing being done about this...he lives down the road and has this here all the time.....can't even put out my trash can or the mailman can't get to my box....I'm sick of it nothing has been done....I need to know who I can talk to have action taken

Left turn arrow needed at intersection of Eager Rd and Patterson St, northbound. There is too much Southbound traffic for any cars to turn left onto Eager, & it creates frustration & people turning left after the light has turned red.

Brown water coming out of faucets

All these flashing yellow signals in town, the only place we need one is leaving inner perimeter going onto north Valdosta road. There is no reason for us to stop this should be a yield right away. Please give us a flashing yellow option at the red light. Thanks.

Would it be possible to have more info for both drivers about who yields at this spot? I see countless cars not yielding for the other driver or they yield when they have the right of way.

There is one large pothole and small one around it in the Northbound lane

Trash has washed down into 3-mile branch again.

It would be nice to have something in place to catch.

It would be even nicer if the City would enforce its trash can and litter ordinance on local businesses…perhaps even educate the business owners.

Why is it that in the Jerry Jones curve near Hillendale Dr traveling from Country Club toward Gornto there’s a stretch posted 25 mph?
But traveling from Gornto towards Country Club the speed limit is still 35?
It’s is the same curve but the two directions have different speed limits.
Perhaps there should be some consistency and post both directions with the same speed limit?
