THERE IS ALOT OF TRASH AND DEBIS AND BROKEN DOWN CARS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND IN THE ROAD. THERE ARE NO PARKING SIGNS LOCATED UP AND DOWN THE STREET. Police have been out here several times over drugs and fights but nothing seems to get done over this property. There is also a street light close to this house and everytime Metro fixes it they knock it out again so they can hide their activies in the dark. This house is located on the corner of West Greenwood and Bailey Street and Hattie Cotton School Ele. is directly across Bailey from this property and activity. Have called codes and no results from them or police.

I have lived on this street now for close to two years. I have seen it go from a frightful, drug-dealing den, to now a vacant, neglected animal-filled structure and it's high time someone do something about this abominable house.
If anyone is aware of this house, it sits right next to Hattie Cotton Stem Magnet school. It's owned by a well-known slumlord, and multiple codes violations have been reported- all to no avail. The former tenants are constantly wanted by the Metro Police, and seedy former visitors still occasionally grace the yard still looking for their "fix".
I have personally spoken to the codes administration, and as they say a civil warrant was served, still nothing has been done to this property.
The roof is in the beginning stages of caving in. The eaves and fascia of this property are rotting through; and getting assistance from the squirrels and birds chewing their way in so they can make their homes inside the house. There is broken glass all down the right side of the house- where a storm window fell out of its rotted frame. There is still trash and remnants of the former tenants. The landlord had been seen "fixing" the basement door- by nailing up rotting particle board to the door frame. Cats have been seen entering this same basement door- and who knows what else is residing in that area.
I am tired of nothing being done. I have continuously tried to take the needed steps to get the attention drawn to this house, and here it STILL sits...rotting away.
My fear is that this slumlord will allow other questionable people move into this property, and so this cycle will continue. Truthfully, no one should be living in that house. It's not only a codes violation, but it is a severe health hazard. I've spoken to Metro police about the condition of the inside, and they advised it's just as bad on the inside, possibly worse, than the outside...

Something needs to be done with this house, but mind you- I will not stop until it is done. I love my house I live in, and I love my neighborhood. I am proud of East Nashville, and will not sit back and let these kinds of this continue to stain this wonderful city. People need to be held accountable for their actions (or lack thereof in this case). And, if they can't take care of the properties, they need to take action to remedy the situation.

If Metro codes can't or won't fix this- then who will?

Continuous parking against marked areas abuse.

Litton gym parking lot lights are not working.

there is a deep pothole in the alley that connects Petway to Bailey

This pot hole can't be missed and is getting bigger with each hard rain.

The hedge near the sidewalk in the Aldi parking lot prevents good sight for cars turning right from Eastland onto Gallatin Road.
