I just attended a meeting last week concerning the Public land that is directly behind Cimarron and what the city is planning on doing with it. Bottom line, it is our land and the city is looking to sell it to developers to produce revenue, when asked what the delta was on revenue from selling as opposed to tax dollars to maintain, those numbers were not available.

    This land is vital to the wildlife that thrive in the mountains. It is also a great place to be able to get away from it all without having to travel.

    As it stands right now, there are plans in place for the city of El Paso to sell this land to developers so they can make a buck.

    Stop expanding and fix the stuff you have already in place. Downtown has so much potential, stop tearing up our outdoor activities!!
