  • 2922-2954 Chestnut St Philadelphia, PA 19104, USA - Cobbs Creek

This is a very dangerous stretch of road for cyclists because the bike lane and right turn lane intersect. I bike it daily and have seen two accidents and numerous near accidents between bicyclists and motorists. Last week my husband's rib was broken when he was struck by a car while biking here. When we returned to the scene to look at it several days later, we found another biker rolling on the ground after having just been hit by a car.

    1) Flashing lights and signs are needed here
    2) bright plastic road dividers should be installed, to limit the area that cars are able to move into the bike lane
    3) and/or more permanent bike lane dividers should be installed to protect cyclists

Thank you for consideration and assistance.

  • 625 S 23rd St Philadelphia, PA 19146, USA - Schuylkill Southwest

Cars heading northbound on Grays Ferry are forced to turn right onto Bainbridge. When a car gets a green light on Grays Ferry, as they turn, the red light at 23rd and Bainbridge appears to be signaling these cars to stop. However, cars are supposed to proceed from Grays Ferry, onto Bainbridge, and past 23rd without stopping. People often stop short at 23rd and Bainbridge, causing the potential for rear-end accidents and backing up traffic onto Grays Ferry. This traffic light arrangement needs to be updated to make it clear that cars from Grays Ferry should proceed without stopping.

  • 21st And Fitzwater Philadelphia, PA - Schuylkill Southwest

Over a week ago now a drunk driver crashed and wrecked 6 cars at this intersection. They should immediately have had to pay for the clean up of the entire block, which the remnants have blown all over the place. I have tried to pick up as much as I can but it isn't my job to clean up after a complete idiot who drunkenly ran his car head long into a car just after a stop sign.

The police have all of his information in the case file.

  • 54-98 N 12th St Philadelphia, PA 19107, USA - City Center East

The abandoned trolly tracks on 12th Street are a terrific hazard for bicyclist. Aware of one serious accident at least. Tracks not only go straight but curve out to the right close to the parking lane at this location.

  • 1513 Tasker St. Philadelphia, PA - Newbold neighborhood

The One-Way sign in front of 1513 Tasker St. was loose after a truck backed into it then a few young kids shook it until it broke. There are enough accidents and near misses at this intersection that the sign should be replaced ASAP.

  • 2208 St Albans Street Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Schuylkill Southwest

A silver Ford Aerostar XLT has been parked in front of this property for several weeks. The driver's side rear tire is completely flat and the van appears to have been abandoned. The front bumper has damage and parts of it are missing. The driver's side of the van is also deeply scratched as if it side-swiped another vehicle or has recently been in an accident. • 25th And Kelly Drive Philadelphia, PA - Strawberry Mansion

The traffic light at 25th St and Kelly Drive has become extremely dangerous with the addition of the new parking lot behind the Art Museum. There needs to be a left hand turn signal added for people turning off 25th street onto Kelly Drive to go in front of the Art Museum. With the increased traffic coming from the opposite direction the great number of cars leaving the Fairmount Neighborhood every day are having daily issues with this intersection. Every time I am at the intersection I almost witness an accident. Please resolve the existing traffic pattern. It needs to be much safer for neighborhood and tourist to the Art Museum alike.

  • N. 15th Street And John F Kennedy Blvd Philadelphia, PA - Logan Square

Cars traveling South on 15th street crossing JFK have a lane shift slightly to the East. However, this lane shift is unmarked. Most vehicles are unaware of this shift and vehicles in the second lane from the right continue straight, cutting off vehicles in the right lane that need to shift to the left.

This lane shift should be clearly marked via white dotted lines crossing JFK on 15th street.

I have witnessed numerous side-swipe accidents as well as many, many near hits, as people swerve to get out of the way.
