Resident reported neighbor washing dirt into the storm drains on SW 339th St, close to 38th Pl SW intersection, that is causing water to accumulate in puddles on the street.

Built new fence right up to sidewalk/easement, building deck/room addition on deck, installing new siding too. I tried looking up online to see if any permits were pulled for building/renovations and found nothing :

The 6-foot-wide planting strip along southbound 35th Ave SW between SW 338th St and SW 340th St needs to be mowed and edged. The grass and weeds are 1 to 2 feet tall and blackberry canes are arching over the sidewalk. Mowing is necessary to control the spread of the taller invasive species growing here (Himalayan blackberry, bull thistle, common tansy).

Also in need of attention at this location are the English laurel hedge, which has grown to obstruct 3/4 of the sidewalk width and needs to be pruned back; and the adjacent sidewalk, which should be weed whacked and blown off.

Please complete this work before the neighborhood kids attending Brigadoon Elementary return to school on Wednesday, August 30. Thank you.

Overgrown vegetation in front of house #3700 is obstructing the sidewalk.

Vegetation behind property needs to be cut down. It's growing into the residents fence, and through into her property, and she's requesting we take out the vines in the ROW behind her property. She said keeping up with the growth coming into her property is hard to do as she is older, and it's getting harder for her to keep up with.

Portable basketball hoop is obscuring 'no parking on garbage day' sign. Hoop should be moved into traffic island, away from sign post so that it does not interfere with cul-de-sac operations.

Tree debris accumulation on sidewalks & shoulders; and shattered glass on sidewalk (near arched fence).

Please dispose of glass and blow off sidewalks so people entering and walking past the park have a safer, cleaner path.

Overgrown vegetation next to house #33719 is obstructing the sidewalk and street shoulder.

Every week around garbage day (Tuesday), many residents on the east side of 35th Ave SW between SW 332nd Pl and SW 340th St place their homes' waste carts on the sidewalk rather than wheel them into the street gutter. This impedes pedestrian access, especially for individuals who use a mobility device or push a stroller.

Improper cart placement is a widespread issue in this and surrounding neighborhoods, but is a particular concern on this stretch of 35th Ave SW due to the high pedestrian traffic volumes associated with Brigadoon Elementary School and Metro bus line 187. These users all share a single sidewalk and it is not uncommon to see people having to walk in the road on Tuesdays due to the obstructed sidewalk.

If city staff could visit this area on an upcoming garbage day to tag improperly-placed carts with notices informing the residents of proper setout guidelines, it would be greatly appreciated by all of us who walk on this street. Thank you.
