WERJ AREA #22

Sorry for this but, My yard waste was sitting in the front of my house for either 3 or 4 weeks before they ended up picking it up this past Monday, Every one of my barrels was full and out there, that's 30 barrels of yard waste as a result I was not able to pick up anymore until I had an empty barrel and now that I have empty barrels to put more leaves into they are not SCHEDULED to pick up yard waste probably until Spring, ((( They were scheduled to pick up yard waste 5 times before Thanksgiving and then skip Thanksgiving week and then scheduled to pick up for 3 more weeks))) I understand the problems that they are having with staffing but that does not help people like me that use barrels instead of wasting money on paper bags. I would think that they would be willing to pick up yard waste more than what the schedule says because after all the number of times (weeks) that they were scheduled to pick up at each address and the number of times that they were actually available to pick up at each address is a much smaller number. I as a person who has a place to pile them until Spring it does not matter but I feel that the service the city pays for (which I think would think would be negotiated for. {The number of time that they provide each said service}) I will put the barrels out anyway just in-case they do happen to come around for them, But I will not hold my breath. ANYWAY, just food for thought ...

There is a problem with the traffic signal to allow pedestrians to cross. This on at the corner of John Fitch Highway and Summer St. intersection. If you push the button on the poll while standing at Carols Dairy Bar...it displays the white walk sign AND the red hand sign. It is difficult to know if you should cross or not. I had to take a look to see if the cars were stopped and hope for the best while making a run for it.

Entire drain could fall in at any moment it’s all washed away underneath.

Maybe you can help, have called DPW and was told they are not painting road lines yet...the yellow line from Poplar to the Lunenburg line on Summer St is GONE. People travel in the middle turn lane and everyday I see cars nearly get hit and move over at the last minute.

resident called stating that one of the trash barrels at the duplex was left behind and one was picked up. They have three barrels that are numbered, 1, 2 and blank. One of the barrels was tossed aside into the neighbor's property.

The Resident called stating they have not had their trash collected for two weeks. this is for the whole street
