The issue of the deplorable condition of the north end of the circle at Loomis Court has recently been submitted here but was immediately closed out without a resolution or even a timetable for a resolution. Although I very much wanted to do so, I was unable by this site to place a comparative photo of the circle of nearby Hickory Court at its side in order to make my point more effectively. When they were built by the same developer in 1954, Hickory Court and Loomis Court were identical. Today, the pavement of the circle at Hickory is absolutely pristine and surrounded by very expensive Belgian block. No so much for the step-children of Loomis Court. Instead, and in response to repeated complaints, we get a circle that has been busted up and potholed for years--ever since the circle was repaved many years ago. Why was this issue closed when the matter remains unresolved with no timetable? How have the residents of Hickory Court been granted this level of preferential treatment? Some of us on Loomis pay outrageous property taxes that exceed $15,000 per year. Why are we delegated to second class status in such a blatant manner?

The circle at Loomis Court is in deplorable condition, especially on the northern side. It is covered with ruts and potholes. It is unsightly and a safety hazard. The problem began several years ago when Princeton's contractor paved the circle during a rain storm. It was never repaved properly at that time and has become worse. The patches never corrected the basic problem. Neighboring Hickory Court, which was identical to Loomis when it was built in the 1950's, was recently refurbished with what appears to be Belgian block stone and looks very well maintained. Why is the circle at Loomis such a mess and why wasn't it improved when Hickory was? ? Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The critical storm drain at the end of Loomis Court is clogged and needs to be maintained on a regular basis by the municipality.

Recycling pickup was missed on Monday for three residences at the end of Loomis Court. Recycling for the other residences in the neighborhood were apparently picked up. Was there a specific reason for the missed recycling at the end of street?

Last night, I hit the worst pothole in memory (and I'm no spring chicken) on Provinceline Road just below the Rosedale Road intersection. On that narrow stretch of road, I would have swerved into the heavy, oncoming traffic in order to avoid it. Aside from my flat tire, which led to further complications, there were at least 4 disabled cars, possibly more, at the site between 6 and 8 pm last night. When I called two different Princeton departments, Engineering and Public Works, neither knew whether Lawrence Twp. or Princeton Twp. has responsibility for Provinceline Road. When I returned to the site at 8 pm, police had set up orange cones around the hole, but it was too late for many of us. This hole must be fixed immediately, even if it takes a telephone call from Princeton to Lawrence. Do the 600+ separate towns in NJ ever dare to talk to each other. Unbelievable!
