    The City owned tree adjacent to my house has cracked the sidewalk and I fear that unaddressed the roots will inevitably adversely impact my homes foundation. Any idea of what recourse a D.C. Homeowner has on having the City cut down a tree before in destroys a house?

    The 2nd tree west of 16th St NW on the south side of Nicholson is over 90% barren. Limbs break off and fall into the street in the sidewalk and in backyards during any type of rain or moderate windstorm activity. The dead branches are falling from distances estimated to be as high as 70 feet.

    The 2nd tree on the south side of Nicholson west of 16th St NW is barren (completely devoid of leaves and or buds). Dead limbs fall from the tree during storms and periods when wind gusts are high. The falling limbs are sizable and pose a danger to pedestrians and private property.

    On Thursday March 9, 2017 at approximately 7:50pm, a motorist recklessly transporting furniture in an unsecured manner on the exterior of his/her vehicle, suffered a restraint malfunction which resulted in the furniture item they were transporting being spilled onto the roadway while the vehicle was in motion traveling s/b on 16th St at NicholsonSt NW

    On multiple occasions this year the tree has had highly placed large limbs break and crash onto the street roadway, the sidewalk and onto my home. The most recent 35 pound limb fell at least 70 feet onto the sidewalk adjacent to my home two days after the last rainstorm. The tree is clearly in need of immediate arborist attention as its highly placed branches are endangering pedestrian traffic, vehicular traffic and private property.

    At approximately 1030 hours a DC recycling truck picking up XMAS trees left curbside, broke the concrete surrounding the storm drain cover creating a hazardous condition.

    Large branches (>5 lbs but less than 60 lbs) of the trees located on the southside of Nicholson, are falling onto the homes, yards and sidewalks which they overhang. This frequent occurrence is causing property damage to homes and vehicles as well as presents a danger to pedestrians.
