Neighbor in the Hood

  • 13 Gardner Street Salem Massachusetts - City of Salem
2 cars with expired inspection stickers are parked on the street in front of 13 Gardner Street. One has been there about 5 days, and the other one has been there for well over a month, and has not been moved once during that time. It is almost as if they are "abandoned."

The trees are starting to hit the house. In 2015 during a windstorm, 1/2 of one of the trees broke off and fell across the entirety of Gardner Street, landing on top of a car, and blocking the street. For safety reasons, the trees need to be pruned.

They picked up the "right side"...north, never came back to do our side

They were sitting curbside as always. I guess the parked cars blocked the view.

Street light is very dim and almost out...has been flickering for the last month.
  • 18 Gardner St Salem, Massachusetts - City of Salem
People have to walk in the street on a VERY dangerous curve between Sidelines and Hancock Street.

I guess we were on the "hit list" this week. :( I did hear that they did part of our area (Holly Street). I heard the truck late this afternoon....then nothing. :(
  • 12-14 Gardner Street Salem, Massachusetts - City of Salem
The storm drain at the driveway of 12-14 Gardner Street does not seem to drain well. Visually it appears to be clear of any heavy debris/trash. I have been here approximately 6 months, and during any significant rainfall, the street on the even side seems to flood. Perhaps the drain is clogged underground? The odd side of the street drains very well.

Our trash was out curbside the night before. It is in a barrel, beside the driveway, clearly visible from the street.
  • Cabot Street Salem, Massachusetts - City of Salem
It is on Cabot Street between Gardner and Hancock. This was from the repair of a water main break. The replacement asphalt has sunken in, and is very deep and could cause damage to vehicles.

After they cleared the street, half of one of the side snow banks fell into the street. The rest is almost ready to topple over as well. It is well out into the street.
