Liberty

  • Liberty St At Norwood St. Everett, MA - Everett
There is a maroon sedan that habitually parks at the beginning of Liberty Street at Norwood Street. This car parks too close to the hydrant and also too close to the intersection, making it incredibly difficult to turn on to Liberty Street. This happens especially often on the weekend. A sign saying "no parking here to corner" or something might be effective. Also, this is the only car that does this so ticketing that person may also help. Thank you.

  • Norwood Street At Broadway Everett, Massachusetts - Everett
Every weekday morning I drive through this intersection - I go down Norwood and take a right onto Broadway. Cars taking a left onto Broadway from Chelsea Street block the intersection so those of us coming off Norwood cannot turn right onto Broadway and have to wait through several light cycles. This is both an inconvenience and a safety issue, as lots of cars are running red lights and some cars are taking right turns from the middle lane on Norwood in order to actually make it through the light. Please address this.

Street sweeping doesn't seem to be happening, as there are pieces of glass and other trash in the road that have been there a long time. If I am expected to move my car every other week for street sweeping then I would expect the sweeping to actually occur. I worry about walking along the street in sandals with all the glass around.
  • Union Ave Everett, Massachusetts - Everett
The intersection of Union and Liberty still has sidewalks full of snow, on both sides of the street. Pedestrians have to walk in the street at the intersection which is a blind turn. It's only a matter of time before someone is hit. This has already been mentioned on this forum but no one did anything, so maybe another post will get the attention it deserves.
  • Union Avenue Everett, Massachusetts - Everett
Union Avenue has not been plowed since the most recent storm. Yesterday a minivan was stuck and vehicles had to back up on to Liberty Street (a one way FULL of towering snow banks). Pedestrians had to squeeze past the minivan on foot. The sidewalks are not clear so pedestrians are also walking in the road.
