The storm drain between 4436 & 4440 Paul Jones Ln had a leak in 2009 or 2010 and again this summer. The cities response this summer seemed to be just to fill in the sink hole that developed with crush rock. The drain still leaks and saturates the soil around and under my house causing the ventilation in my slab to fill with water during heavy rains and uneven settling of my slab foundation causing 11 new cracks to form in my interior walls and ceilings! Additionally, my swimming pool liner which was replaced at my expense in 2011 after the first storm drain leak, has floated again multiple times resulting in numerous wrinkles in the liner and black algae to form under the liner due to excessive soil saturation. The concrete slab surrounding my pool has shifted and settled causing numerous cracks also. The soil over the storm drain in my yard has a depression that runs along the drain with a cavity or two under the topsoil. The soil has become so loose from the saturation that it is very soft and I can push a rake handle as much as 2 - 3 feet in the ground by hand. A picture of my rake inserted in my yard is attached to this complaint. I am requesting the city to evaluate the storm drain, repair the storm drain and repair the damages to my property!
