  • 1907 Olympic Boulevard Walnut Creek, California - Walnut Creek
The trees and shrubs along eastbound Olympic Blvd. between Newell Ave. and I680 encroach the bicycle lane, forcing users to navigate unsafe conditions. The shrubbery needs to be pruned back and debris from the bike lane needs to be cleared. This is a dangerous condition that should be addressed promptly.
Note: I submitted this issue on 06/25 and did not receive any response. Upon reviewing the initial submission, it became clear the reason for no response was because of the initial mapping location notifying Contra Costa County and not Walnut Creek. Please note the area in need of attention is between eastbound Olympic Blvd. between Newell and the I680 off ramp/on ramp area.
Thank you for your assistance with this matter.

Dead deer carcass on south sidewalk between Homestead Dr and Montego for last 24 hours.
  • Olympic Boulevard Walnut Creek, CA 94595, USA - Contra Costa County
The shrubs along eastbound Olympic Blvd. are overgrown and encroaching into the bike lane, forcing cyclists to move into the automobile traffic lane to avoid colliding with the overgrowth. The affected area is between Newell Ave. and Paulson Ln. This is a VERY DANGEROUS condition, as the bike lane is narrow and the pavement is bumpy to the point of causing possible loss of control. Adding photos is not possible at this time, but the condition is quite obvious and easily identified. Thanks for your help!
  • 1050 Walnut Avenue Walnut Creek, CA 94598, USA - Walnut Creek
The crosswalk for the Canal Trail at Walnut Ave. is exceedingly DANGEROUS! Vehicle traffic routinely travels at speeds in excess of the posted speed limit, and pedestrians/cyclists attempting to cross do so at extreme peril. At minimum, the city should install flashing signals at the crosswalk similar to those at various crosswalks downtown (e.g., Broadway at Duncan). It surprises me that the City has yet to address this issue as the trail is used frequently by children.
