    The homeless man who lives outside of Safeway is a sad fixture. If he refuses accommodation from D.C. then I hope that he has the right to live unmolested on the street. However, he is accumulating large amounts of trash which need regular clearance.

    The problem of a large number of trash and recycling cans left in the alley along side Safeway by the residents of 1717 Corcoran St NW and obstructing the roadway in the alley, remains. This has been reported previously and was marked completed - but nothing has been done it seems.

    Every spring we report a massive rat infestation on R street outside Ross Elementary School. The report is accepted and then closed with no action taken. The problem is back again - the tree box outside 1712 R street has been taken over by rats. It would be great if this year it could be dealt with.
