The striping at the stop sign needs to be repainted. Too many vehicles do a slow-and-roll through the stop sign as they turn right putting pedestrians in the crosswalk in danger. This is in conjunction with Service Request 19-00728501 to make the stop sign more visible.

    413 2nd Street Se - Capitol Hill
The stop sign on 2nd St. SE at North Carolina Ave. SE is obscured by tree branches and other signs. There is a consistent and persistent problem with drivers running this stop sign. This intersection has high foot traffic because it is at the junction of two parks and is within two blocks of three schools. Could something please be done about making the stop sign more prominent.

There is an accumulation of belongings and trash and liquor bottles building up behind the bench wall on the west side of Folgers Park. Vagrants are sleeping on the concrete benches during the day and the Metro grate at night. Brent Elementary and St. Peter's School are on the other side of the park, and Providence Park adjacent to Folger's Park is heavily used by neighborhood children. This is no place for a campground for vagrants.

The tree by sidewalk a few steps down the hill from the entrance to the Capitol South Metro Station needs to be trimmed so pedestrians can walk under it without having to stoop over. It's much worse when it is wet from rain.

The 100 block of North Carolina Ave SE is clearly marked at both ends of the block with prominent "No Trucks" signs. Regardless, many trucks regularly use the block as a cut-through, often several trucks an hour.

There are 8 or so plastic catfish attached with metal banding to the light pole at the corner of 2nd St and NC Ave SE. This issue was reported in Oct. 2014, was bounced around between several DC Gov. department, out to Pepco, and back to John Schools in Public Works in early 2015. I called 3/26/2015 to check on status, but never received a call back. The issue was closed, but as you can see in the photo below that was taken today, nothing was done.
