Monroe Potholes #14, 15, 16 Archived9030 Monroe Road Houston, Texas - SoutheastThis pothole is constantly re-appearing at least every two weeks. The latest job has left it more like a speed-bump and extremely bulging, with potholes within the patch, and causing additional potholes to appear from the force of 18-wheelers bouncing and landing on the concrete after the asphalt. Permanent solution requested. Cars are slowing down to 5 mph to go over this section of Monroe

Traffic Signals Archived8611 Airport Boulevard Houston, Texas - SoutheastMonroe going southbound, there is not enough time for cars to pass the intersection, given that all the cars are trying to funnel and merge into one single lane IMMEDIATELY after crossing the intersection. This is causing an immediate clog after the intersection, and causing people to get stuck in the middle of the intersection while the light has turned red, and green for the other directions. The ratio of light time and traffic in this direction (rush hour heading home) is extremely un-proportional to the time given to the empty directions of travel, on top of the funneling into one lane.

Nuisance On Property Archived8301 Tavenor Lane Houston, TX 77075, USA - SoutheastThere are big loose dogs that have been chasing people who walk or bike by. Some have been kids. Two of the dogs are from the house and they have attracted others to hang around the corner. They are not being properly secured on the owners property. It's an accident waiting to happen. They've chased after a woman with a baby in a stroller before. What can the city do about these dogs in the neighborhood? It's not an isolated problem.

Illegal Parking and Propery Damage Archived8519 Monroe Houston, TX - SoutheastI have reported this issue before. This company is constantly parking 18-wheelers on the road. People are always having to cut other drivers because of the late realization an 18-wheeler was stopped ahead (not seeing them until the car in front of them moved out of the way) This has been happening since at least 2005. This road used to be very clean and well maintained until this business opened. The 18-wheelers that come in and out of this property have destroyed the median. The median is a giant hole for mud and water (and mosquitos) every time it rains. They have also destroyed the sidewalks, which the city has said it cannot do anything about. Additionally, 18-wheelers from this location have knocked down light poles from their wide turning radius. This property should be responsible for providing parking on their property and providing appropriate driveways for their business. Our taxes should not have to continue repairing the damage they have caused. 1. We want the median to be filled in and have grass again (perhaps plant vegetation that will not allow 18-wheelers to drive onto the median anymore). 2. They should be fined for the damage to the median and sidewalks. 3. They should be fined for illegal parking of 18-wheelers on the main road.

Drainage Pothole + sinking road Archived8603 Monroe Road Houston, TX - SoutheastMonroe Southbound. This drainage/gutter has been worsening - it is getting really bad. Following that gutter intake, the road is jagged and cracked and is popping up badly causing tire damage. People have begun to swerve out of this little maze without precaution to the drivers next to them. The google streets view image was taken in March 2012 and you can see the damage was already bad then.

Pothole ArchivedInterstate 45 Freeway Hov Houston, TX 77087, USA - SoutheastBoth north and southbound outer lanes on freeway have really bad seams - the filler has dissolved and now have jagged channels that grab your wheel and cause you to try to overcompensate and get into another lane. Doesn't seem like any maintenance has been done on this area of the city highways for a long time- where's the money going? From Monroe up through wayside the highways looks like its breaking down (potholes northbound by telephone)
