  • 4230 Connecticut Ave Nw Washington, DC, 20008, USA - Chevy Chase

Be careful when you are around this light pole - N.W. corner of Connecticut Ave NW and Veazey Terr NW (sign shows 4300 Conn. NW). UDC and metro station are adjacent locations.
It is detaching - next strong wind and it may break loose - legal territory for victims if not careful.

Tried to report this as an issue but reporting this location CONTINUALLY returns as NO VERIFIED SERVICES. So, I had to "Post to my Neighbors...." - AS IF NEIGHBORS ARE GOING TO FIX THIS.

This site has morphed over the last couple of years since I used it and it HAD ALLOWED me to report that location.

  • 3064 Veazey Terrace Northwest Washington District Of Columbia - Chevy Chase
When (not what....) it rains and fills in, no one can determine how deep the hole is - which will cause damage at even moderate speeds.
In previous report, https://seeclickfix.com/issues/2980919, I was informed nothing could be done about it at that time.
Well, it is now worse and likely to be more expensive as time goes on...
(( WOW - here is the follow up I received and my response:
    NONE! Nothing!
There were no comments added to the ticket - it only stated "Acknowledged" - what kind of answer is that...
    Or is it that either:
    a) the team is undermanned and swamped or
    b) lazy or
    c) did not wish to give an answer..... a satisfactory answer.....
In either case, at this link, https://311.dc.gov/?serviceRequestId=18-00304888&email=patrick642@yahoo.com ---- it stated work order created but the ticket is CLOSED. What kind of answer is that....
If I were less than ethical, I'd use more, hmmmm, emphatic language...
  • Street Repair Acknowledged
Lincoln Memorial Circle Northwest Washington, District of Columbia - US Congressional District DC98
As you are driving south-bound, around the curve from Rock Creek & Potomac Pkwy NW and going around the curve to go West on Arlington Memorial Bridge.
VERY DEEP & LONG rain worn ruts on the driver side lane of the Pkwy - someone is going to break an axle or bend a rim as they go around this curve in the dark (or crazy busy traffic). Or cause a possible fatality as they lose control of their vehicle.
  • Rock Creek And Potomac Parkway Northwest Washington District of Columbia - US Congressional District DC98
I had previously reported 4 lights out at Peters Point area (https://seeclickfix.com/issues/2980903-streetlight-repair-investigation) and was surprised to see that yes, they did do some work (replacing light bulbs) - but they closed the ticket AFTER only repairing two of the four lights. I had believed all 4 lights were taken care of but 2 of the 4 lights are still out. Is that professional level work or the city trying to save some money or teams doing what the fired metro rail workers did?
  • Rock Creek Park Trails Washington, District of Columbia - Georgetown
Dangerous flooding / High water area - After heavy rains, south bound, left lane is flooded - dangerously high - can flood vehicle engines.
Due to the way the road was graded/paved - water build up here is dangerous.
DURING/AFTER HEAVY RAIN ===>> AVOID LEFT LANE, SOUTH BOUND AT THIS POINT!!
  • 3064-3098 Veazey Terrace Northwest Washington, District of Columbia - Chevy Chase
Damage around manhole cover, every time it rains, the asphalt/concrete around the manhole cover deteriorates causing it to become dangerous to drive over.
It is already a road depression but expanding and getting worse.
  • Rock Creek And Potomac Parkway Northwest Washington, District of Columbia - US Congressional District DC98
This is now a safety and security issue.
Four (4) street lights out adjacent to Peters Point once you pass the Kennedy Center on your way to the Lincoln Memorial. Unsafe for anyone walking in this area before dawn/after dusk.
3 lights out on one side and one on the other.
  • Pothole Archived
2400 Beach Drive Northwest Washington, District of Columbia - Woodley Park

a - After you make that right onto Beach and as you are going downhill on Beach at that point
b - Before going under the Howard Taft bridge
c - Prior to making a right into the US Park Police lot as I did and told the police in the lot (not clear if they passed it on)
d - Got a pix of the initial tire damage but could not stop traffic to get pix of hole...

Had to go to car dealer immediately as tire was ruined, inner side of tire rim is bent and need to get an alignment as well...!!!
Who in National Park Service is responsible for this to recover any damages...??? I contacted Ward 3 Mary Cheh's office and they said it was NPS property (Beach Dr)

  • 2841 Tilden Street Northwest Washington, District of Columbia - Cleveland Park

On Tilden St. NW, in the Westbound lane (going uphill), 2 potholes - one larger & one smaller.
Opposite the Indonesian Embassy Residence (on the EASTbound side, going downhill).

Closest address, on the EASTbound side, near the potholes:
-- between 2837 Tilden St. NW & 2841 Tilden St. NW

  • Van Ness Street Northwest Washington, District of Columbia - Chevy Chase
going E on Van Ness St NW, to Connecticut Ave NW - in the left side of the RIGHT lane – adjacent to the Intelsat building - pot hole starting to form - you can see the concrete below the asphalt – first pot hole in previous report
  • Van Ness Street Northwest Washington, District of Columbia - Chevy Chase
going E on Van Ness St NW, to Connecticut Ave NW (at International & Van Ness) - in the CENTER of both lanes – IN THE INTERSECTION crosswalk – a SIGNIFICANT pothole that could damage your wheel if you’re doing over 25-30mph. I have 3 other pix of this one.
