  • Temple & Crown New Haven, Connecticut - Town_Green
    Due to construction this morning (Friday, May 2) on Temple St in front of the Omni Hotel, CTTRANSIT J and M buses, as well as Union Station Shuttle, are not able to service the bus stop at Temple & Crown. Passengers should walk over to the bus stop at George St by Gateway Community College or at Temple St.
  • College & Chapel New Haven, Connecticut - Downtown

    Beginning on Monday April 28 until June 15, the CTTRANSIT bus stop at Chapel and College will be inaccessible during a construction project. This will affect the following bus routes heading Westbound on Chapel Street: B-Whalley Ave; D-Dixwell Ave; F-West Chapel/Ansonia; G-Shelton; Q-Edgewood Ave; and Z-West Hills.

    During this temporary relocation due to construction, passengers should board buses at Chapel by Temple or at Chapel by York.

  • 444 Albany Hartford, Connecticut - Clay Arsenal

    Possible delays Saturday, April 19 due to march & rally in downtown Hartford

    Mothers United Against Violence (MUAV) will hold the sixth annual March and Rally to end gun violence on Saturday, April 19. March begins at Wilson-Gray YMCA, 444 Albany Avenue, Hartford and ends at the north portico of State Capital where there will be a memorial and rally. Marchers will gather at 9:30 a.m. and the march will begin at 10:00 a.m.

    During this event, CTTRANSIT bus customers on routes that utilize Albany Avenue to Main Street (44, 46, 50, 52, 56, 58) may find temporary delays or service alterations, as well as routes that travel on Capitol Avenue (61, 63,& 69).

  • 505 College Street New Haven, Connecticut - Downtown

    During Julia's Run for Children 2014, temporary street closures and detours will effect the CTTRANSIT O-Winchester route between approximately 9:00AM and 11:30AM on Sunday April 13. Race begins and ends on Yale University's Cross Campus, in New Haven, Connecticut.

    Inbound buses will start their detour at Winchester & Webster. Passengers should board at Winchester and Webster.

    There will be no Service from Winchester and Sachem, Prospect and College.

    Outbound buses will start their detour from Church & Elm. There will be no service to Church, Grove, Prospect, Sachem to Winchester and Webster. Passengers should board at Church and Chapel.

  • Main & Gold Hartford, Connecticut - Downtown

    Temporary Bus Stop Relocations in Downtown Hartford Sunday, April 13

    During the parade to celebrate the dual UConn National Championship Victories on Sunday April 13 in downtown Hartford, between approximately 3:00PM and 5:30PM some bus stops will be temporarily relocated from Main Street. Main Street will be closed to bus traffic between Buckingham and Pearl - these stops will not be served during this time.

    Please use the following downtown stops during this time:

    Old State House: routes 32 to Windsor Ave, 38 to Weston St, 42 to North Main, and 58 to Albany Ave.

    Central Row (westbound): 30x Bradley Flyer (note the Bradley Flyer will serve Union Station and CT Convention Center during the detour)

    On Pearl @ Main: 31 to Park Street, 35x to Westfarms, 39 to New Britain Ave, 47 to Franklin Ave, 63 to Hillside, 62/66 to Farmington Ave, and 76 to Bowles Park.

    Central Row (eastbound): 45 to Berlin Tpke, 80 to Buckland Mall, 82 to Tolland Turnpike, 83 to Silver Lane and 88 to Burnside Ave.

    The parade, which will begin and end at the State Capitol, steps off at 4:00 p.m. and will be immediately followed by a victory rally on the north steps of the State Capitol building. The parade will begin at the State Capitol, travel north on Trinity Street, take a right on Jewell Street, bear left at Gold Street, right on Main Street, then make a right onto Capitol Avenue before returning to the State Capitol, where the rally will be held.

  • Temple & Elm New Haven, Connecticut - Town_Green

    Temple Street in downtown New Haven will be closed to traffic between Elm Street and Chapel Street on Saturday April 5th, from approximately 8:00AM to 3:00PM.

    During this time, there will be no CTTRANSIT service to the following Bus Stops:
    -Temple at Grove
    -Temple at Elm
    -Temple at Chapel
    -Temple at Crown
    -Elm at Temple
    -College at George

    CTTRANSIT Buses that normally stop at these locations will board and alight at Chapel Street in front of Starbucks.

  • 76-90 Elm Street New Haven, Connecticut - Town_Green

    Due to emergency repairs to the damaged sidewalk area, the CTTRANSIT bus stop on Church Street and Elm Street (in front of Wells Fargo Bank) will be temporary relocated for the duration of the construction.

    During the repairs, bus passengers normally using this bus stop should board or exit the bus at the stops at either Church & Chapel or Church & Wall Streets.

    The sidewalk repairs are scheduled to begin on Monday, March 17 and the extent and duration of the repairs are to be determined.
