An illegally-parked Amazon delivery van totally blocked the protected bike lane on Fulton St at Durant. Please consider increasing bollards or other separation here to prevent future instances. This photo was taken at 4:40 PM on April 23, 2020.
  • 3300-3320 Joaquin Miller Rd Oakland, CA, 94602, USA - Joaquin Miller Park
As part of the City of Oakland's beautification program, we and other neighbors have, for many years, planted California poppies, daffodils, and other flowers in the median of Joaquin Miller Road. Two days ago, a city crew worked its way up JM methodically mowing down everything growing in the median. This was scorched earth! No effort was made to preserve the poppies. Spring flowers were just beginning to bloom and now the median is a brown wasteland! We would like some response from OPW acknowledging the error and setting future expectations.

This dumpster has been blocking the bike lane on westbound E 12th Street @ Fruitvale (adjacent to Domino's Pizza) for many months (perhaps years!). I have no idea who it belongs to (maybe Domino's?), but it needs to be removed!

Westbound E 7th Street at 23rd Avenue is a major bike route. Yesterday I was unable to trigger the traffic light at 23rd Ave to continue west on Embarcadero. There is no indication of where a bicycle should position to trigger the light.

  • Broadway & Keith Ave Oakland, California - Upper Rockridge
This issue has been previously reported, but is not now showing up as an open issue. At the top of Keith Ave (at Broadway) there is a bike light for bicyclists crossing onto the Broadway cycle track. With the current signal phasing, the "No Right Turn on Red" sign illuminates several seconds AFTER the green bike signal. Today, I was nearly hit by a right-turning driver who was much more focused on the turn than on the signal. The "No Right Turn on Red " sign needs to light up BEFORE the green bike light. If this is not corrected, there will be an incident resulting in injury to a bicyclist, and the city will be at fault.
