The following car has been parked in front of our house for the past three weeks - we have seen some random homeless looking folks going in and taking stuff out, leaving more stuff (a chicken box) and then leaving again over the past two weeks. They might be living in it. They definitely do not live in this neighborhood.

The tags are expired as well. I am sure it has been abandoned.

Across the street from this address someone dumped a soft and a broken mirror - the mirror is on top of the sofa.

Both of our cars were broken into last night, and they ripped out the stereos as well as inside lights. Not sure if it does any good to report to the Police, but will try. When we lived in the city it happened weekly, and the police wanted a report and they started patrolling the neighborhood more.

I cannot be quite anymore. I am a home owner, and want to see my neighborhood clean, and free from waste. What I drive by every day is disgusting, and should be burned.

From about 32nd Street and Wood/Beach it is a human waste land. There are shanty shacks everywhere, which gives legitimate homeless folks a place to stay warm; but, where is their human waste going? The "lost boys" who are littering the same area, all the way around the Target store is even worse. Honestly, I do not mind the homeless as much as I do the "lost boys". They are young, homeless by choice, train hopping kids living on the streets. They bathe in the Target store, cruise the parking lot looking for unlocked cars (I caught them trying to get into mine) and sit outside the entrance begging.

I can bet if the heath department was to come through this area it would be blocked off. Can you imagine the waste we cannot even see from the road.

SOMEONE needs to do something about this. Who's responsibility is it? Emeryville? Oakland? Targe?

There are actually two locations that this compliant is about:
1755 12th Street and 1137 Wood Street (the same house, different addresses). This corner has become an eye sore in our neighborhood, and I am kind of suspect if one can grow a garden on public sidewalks. Their said garden space is heaping on the sidewalks on Wood as well as 12th Street, with dirt, containers and plants. I am all for growing plants, but am sure people, and wheelchairs are supposed to be able to get down public sidewalks. The mess on this corner makes it really hard for both.

Not sure if people are suppose to plant a garden on top of a sidewalk and block pedestrian walkways? Especially handicapped? All for gardening but it is kind of an eye sore for the neighborhood and a mess.

We reported this on Tuesday to someone who works for the Oakland Public Utility who was picking up debris on Wood Street. I drove by this morning and there are still animal heads and other parts all over the road. This is on Wood Street right before the Target back entrance. As well there is TONS of trash near the Target entrance. Isn't it better if the homeless set-up camp under the overpass where they were before? Now there is trash every where on the streets. As a homeowner and business person in West Oakland - this is completely unacceptable. Especially animal parts which I would think is a health concern.
