10th and Cary Street Tree Issue. The pavers are leaning and buckled due to tree roots from the City tree at the corner. The City trash can once was level and had a lid. Now it looks terrible. The trashcan is at a 30 degree angle, missing a lid, the liner sits up way over the cement. Some of this is due to lack of care, some is due to the tree roots moving the trashcan to its side. Also, this problem is located by a City handicap ramp and is difficult for disabled persons to navigate.
  • 1000 East Canal Street Richmond, VA - Central Office
For a second time, the City has bolted a street sign to our bricks. This is not a proper way to secure a sign. The sign has fallen over and people are tripping on it.
  • 901 East Cary Street Richmond, VA - Central Office
This sign was recently knocked over. It needs to be re-installed correctly. It should be anchored to the ground, not bolted to our brick. It is a right lane must turn sign on Canal St. near the 9th St. intersection.

The City Trashcan at 10th & Cary across the street from SunTrust is in disrepair. The lid has been gone for years and the tree root growth has tilted the trashcan. A foot of can liner is exposed to the street.
