I know there's work retrofitting SCF into CoR but the new "Categories" are probably a reflection of a sub-optimal approach. If you want SCF to feed directly into CoR departments, you should probably just list the departments and then allow for other categories when users don't know what department to use. Then you'll have a burden to train your users on how to optimize and normalize their category selection. For example, where do zoning problems go? Sign ordinance violations? homeless camps? greenway rapairs? You'll never categorize your audience's thoughts.

Good work by two separate crews on the House Creek Trail and the Crabtree Trail on Monday. Nice guys getting the job done, looking out for pedestrians and cyclists.

I got an email from a city employee that said:

During last Tuesday’s City Council meeting, the council requested a report on the status of the SeeClickFix web application. Staff is in the process of preparing that response to the City Council.

So, if you like SCF, now would be the time to let them know at:

The City of Raleigh has decided NOT to dedicate sufficient resources to follow SeeClickFix and "cannot at this time make any predictions as to when the backlog will be cleared."

It's a shame good government has taken a back seat to pandering.

The bushes and shrubs along the multi-purpose path between Hunt Club Land and Carolina Avenue have grown way over the path. I believe the property owner should be reminded of his obligation to keep his shrubbery trimmed.

The Crabtree Creek Trail Extension to Anderson Point Park is behind schedule. It's been officially "delayed" to "Fall 2014." The CoR web page re: the project is here:

It says the trail will include a bridge wesst of New Bern Avenue and then run along the north side of the creek and under the beltline at the US-264 junction. Currently, there is no construciton that looks like a bridge and all the construction runs along the south side of the creek behind the Wakefield apartments. Is there any chance we could get a current, complete and accurate report on exactly what's going on?

Kudos, Props and W2Gs for the CoR getting the Walnut Creek Trail cleared after the recent weather! Lots of good work all up and down Walnut Creek and Crabtree Creek trails. Thanks!
