    The owner of 12727 Maiden, an asbestos house bought from DLBA by Aysia Baxter, has been dumping Asbestos construction materials onto 12720 Maiden. 12720 Maiden is a privately owned lot owned by Ms. CherLeen Nelson-Everette. Ms. Baxter was given waste management guidelines on 4.2.24. A previous Click-Fix (#CSW2024-01411) was filed 3.28.24 and closed on 4.3.24 - after bulk pick-up. This is an environmental issue harming all who live in the surrounding area. Please, please contact Mrs. CherLeen Nelson-Everette for a subsequent click-fix and additional pictures.

    Property sold to Mr. Lewis via Land Bank (per our conversation on 1.2.2024). He stated LandBank told him to leave this monstrosity. This is the 3rd Time since 2023 and now its 2024 our residents have been left to clean up his mess. Mr. Lewis is non compliant until the rules change in April, 2024.     Mr. Ronnie Blanton, owner of 12731 Maiden, cut down over grown trees, shrubs that had been neglected for months on his property. I spoke with him on this day and gave Mr. Blanton the guidelines for proper disposal by the City. He shared that he would have the City pick up his mess. He left it on the vacant lot between his house and mine (12755 Maiden). To date, 11.21.23, this unsightly mess remains. This is what happens when there's no monitoring
    of folks who have been given a second chance via NAP. Our block club has been working tirelessly for a batter environmental quality of life.

    Block Club Treasurer observed black male dumping items to curb on 10/30/2023. Person has bought Parcel#21006440. from DETROIT LANDBANK AUTHORITY and currently is using our block as a dumping site. New owner has been acalmated at the time of purchase in order to be in compliance; however, owner CURRENTLY IS NOT in compliance and therefore should be ticketed accordingly based on the City's Blight policies and procedures. We request this situation be handled immediately and that the Block Club President be contacted upon resolution.

    8.4.23 Once again, our basement has flooded here at 12755 Maiden. You have previous click fix tickets in for our address. Some of this caused by the MUDDY BLOCKED BASINS that hasn't been acted upon. Please do not insult us again with a newsletter talking about what "we should do and what we have to pay for" to get a little piece of mind. I had a video but for some reason the click fix/improve detroit platform wouldn't accept the mp4 platform.

    July 22, 2023, Heavy rains, impacted muddy basins on both sides of the street of Maiden (12727 and 12706) plus the basin in the alley off of Park Drive between Maiden and Corbett cause the back in our basement - AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! This was just the beginning; I had to wait for my husband to race home again, to start this painful clean up which is worse by the time he got home today.

    Basins continue to remain blocked! Why is this? We've submitted four NEW requests since April, 2023 including July 8, 2023. Once again, our concerns on this block (Maiden btwn Park Drive and Dickerson) as well as others are not being heard. In all fairness, on July 9, 2023, one of your big dark blue and/or grey trucks went into our alley between Maiden and Corbett off of Park Drive. Apparently, a little opening was performed to allow for a flow. However, no one has be on Maiden to unclog the mud impacted basins that's been reported for months. I'm sure, Mayor Duggan and other officials aren't experiencing this type of neglect where they live. We deserve to have this issue resolved.

    JULY 8, 2023 - Once again, for the THIRD TIME, within a 4 month period, the Basins at 12727 MAIDEN have not be cleaned out. (SEE Service Request #s 297220 and 140799). Once again, for the THIRD TIME THIS YEAR, our basement at 12755 Maiden and our neighbors on this block (between PARK DRIVE AND DICKERSON) have flooded!!!! It is now Sunday afternoon, July 9, 2023. The Maiden Voyagers Block Association is PLEADING for your help. I'm sure that most of you, who are reading this report, are not experiencing this headache. Ms. Caprice Jackson D4 DON, has told me that additional staff has been hired; that's great but where does our block fit in for repairs? I'm going to keep "churping" about the June 2021 torrential rain floods because we NEVER had this problem before. It is the City's responsibility via DPW, to ensure the drains are open to stop the back flow. We've been trying to help ourselves by going to the basins to remove debris; but, its not helping since our block has basins FULL OF COMPOUNDED MUD!! I've shared this with you before via the service request #s (noted above).

YOU HAVE NOT COME TO UNCLOG THE MUD FILLED BASINS (PREVIOUSLY REPORTED ON 4.3.23-LOOK IT UP) BETWEEN 12727 AND 12731 MAIDEN NEAR PARK DRIVE. YOU'VE ONLY TOLD US THAT YOU HAVE 2,500 BASINS TO CLEAR UP. WHOSE FAULT IS THAT? YOU'VE KEPT THE BY-PASSES IN THE MAIN DRAIN CLOSED AND IT APPEARS THAT YOU DON'T HAVE ANYONE ON STAFF OR PERHAPS THIS IS ANOTHER WAY FOR MR. G. BROWN TO FIND ANOTHER REASON FOR SENIOR CITIZENS AND OTHERS TO PAY FOR GOD'S RAIN--THAT GOES DOWN THE DRAIN. WELL, THAT CAN'T HAPPEN IF YOU DON'T OPEN THE BY-PASS. CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR WHAT YOUR "NEXT TALKING POINT" IS GOING TO BE.

    On May 28, 2023, it became very dark from the point of the street light to the end of Maiden and Park Drive. This light is a lot of help and security (for many reasons). On May 29th it was out again as well as on the 30th, the 31st of May and into the present date of this writing, June 2, 2023.

We are in danger of additional flooding (as reported by local meteorologists) again tomorrow, Thursday, April 5 through April 6, 2023. This basin floods often after raining.     April 3, 2023 at 7:15 p.m. street is flooded between 12731 (vacant lot) and 12700 Maiden at Park Drive. This happens everytime it rains, the drain has not been attend to; in addition, our basement has flooded again (at 12755 Maiden between Park Drive & Dickerson). Clearly the street drains and/or your pumps weren't open to avoid our basement flooding again....the second time since July, 2021.

    The fire hydrant hasn't worked since the Pandemic; there are new families on the block with underage children and there are two abandoned houses within reach of a broken fire hydrant. Also, there is a dope/prostitution house at 12731 Maiden where drugs are cooked and should there be an explosion, the fire hydrant will not work, so the firefighters can't save the our property and/or the children who may be affected.
