MPD was at the property this morning looking for an unwanted person but could not locate him.
This person left a back pack in the building with what looks like drug paraphernalia. The person left at 7:44am. The bag can be picked up at the lobby desk. thank you

Homeless individuals are sleeping in a entry alcove of the Carpenter Center on the W. Merrimack Street side, nearest the alley. We have found needles, alcohol and property damage from these people and it is unsettling to the elderly who live here. We ask if MPD could put this on their nightly route to hopefully deter this from continuing. We have No Trespass signs but they only worked briefly. They show up after dark & leave around 7am every day.

These benches are in disrepair and this one was hit by a car. I previously requested that they be repaired and I was told they belong to the Carpenter Center. That information is incorrect. I have been working here since 1987 - these benches were put there by the city and were never the property of the owners of the building. I believe at one time this area was referred to as Stanton Park Ext.
We respectfully ask that they be repaired for both the beauty of the area just a block from City Hall as well as the well-being of the elderly residents and all who use them.

In response to the "Carpenter Center owns and maintains these benches" - That is not correct. These benches were placed there by the city of Manchester and have been replaced in the past when stolen. This area I was told was also told this was a park, Thank you, Laura Provost

This was closed today but the broken bench is still on the side walk facing the wrong way. It needs to be removed and repaired or replaced.
    Thank you,
