What should I do if I am suffering extreme sleep deprivation that is causing me to develop severe, potentially life-threatening health problems due to a group of degenerate neighbors who intentionally harass me every single day and night and deny me the ability to sleep? I've been reporting them to the police, the city manager's office and the city council since April of 2018 and nothing has been done. I can't afford to move. My doctor said that if I continue losing sleep, I could suffer life-threatening health consequences. My life is literally in danger. I've noticed an interesting and alarming phenomenon on the Alameda SeeClickFix website.

When residents report that a certain function of the city government is not working, the city, (e.g. "calling the police on my criminal neighbor is not working") the city responds by telling the resident "please call the police instead" even though that is precisely what the resident is complaining about not working.

If a resident submits a request saying that doing XYZ is not working, why does the city respond telling the resident to do XYZ and then close their request instead of acknowledging the problem and working with them to resolve it?

It's like if you had a problem with your car not starting, and you took it the mechanic, and the mechanic just dismisses you and says "just start the car", completely ignoring the fact that you just told him that starting it won't work, that it won't start.

Why does the city do this? Can anyone explain? There doesn't seem to be any logic in this.

For 9 months straight, I have been using this SeeClickFix request to document the ongoing harassment and abuse by my neighbors, who have continued subjecting me, my girlfriend, and my other neighbors in my building to horrific abuse for almost 2 years straight now.

For some inexplicable reason (probably just to sweep the issue under the rug), 15 minutes ago today (Monday, December 2nd, 2019), my 9-month old request was forcefully closed and placed into a permanently closed state, preventing me from commenting on or re-opening the request, by Alameda police officer Florence Lopez.

A few minutes ago, after I discovered that Florence Lopez did this to my request, I resubmitted it under the following URL: https://seeclickfix.com/issues/7043241-police-general

A few minutes later, Florence Lopez stepped in and closed the request again, permanently disabling my ability to comment on or reopen the request. In his closing comment, Florence Lopez falsely stated the following:

"Keeping the issue open on SeeClick will not help your issue."

This is false. Keeping the issue open on SeeClickFix has allowed me to spread awareness of the issue to the public. I have been contacted by multiple Alamedans who have read my request on this website and were horrified by the abuse that we are going through. I have garnered a significant amount of support from the community. My original request even had something like 15 or 20 up votes on it.

Keeping the request open on SeeClickFix DOES help me, even though the police continue doing what they do best (ignoring the problem and letting people break laws in Alameda to their heart's content), my keeping it open on SeeClickFix helps spread awareness to other Alamedans. It helps educate and inform other people in this community about what is happening, and when the next election season comes, people will be able to look at requests like mine on SeeClickFix to see what major problems we have in this city (government corruption), they will know which city officials are responsible for corrupt practices like censoring law abiding taxpaying citizens using this site in good faith and not violating the terms of service at all (like FLorence Lopez, for example) and they will know who to and not to vote for in the next election.

My keeping this request open on SeeClickFix, while it might not help stop my neighbors from abusing and harassing me, does help me in helping educate the public about public corruption and disorder in Alameda, and what actions We the People need to take in order to reclaim control of our own city.

If you close this request, I will simply re-submit it, over and over again. I will not be censored. I will not let you silence me. I will continue to let the public know what you are doing, and will thwart any attempts to stop me from getting this message out.

So far my neighbor has destroyed the lock mechanism on my mailbox and I've been permanently locked out of my mailbox for the past two weeks. They have trespassed on our property multiple times, defacing our property, and dumping trash in our driveway. They have also spent the last 2 years depriving us of peace, keeping 4 dogs locked up in their apartment 24/7 which is i.l.l.e.g.a.l in Alameda (alameda has a pet ordinance that limits 3 dogs per household), keeping their doors open even when it is below 50 degrees outside just to force us to listen to their screaming, shrieking barking dogs, loud music and constant partying.

Note: My original request body was also wiped out a few months ago and replaced with the text "Content Block by Rejections" despite the fact that my post was 100%, fully compliant with the site's terms of service, did not contain a single trace of profanity, and was allowed to remain up all year up until a few months ago.

Then, to hammer the "final nail in the coffin", Florence Lopez straight-up closed my request altogether, permanently crippling my ability to publicly document the abuse my neighbors have been putting us all through for the last 2 years straight.

Please re-open my request or I will be forced to continue documenting my neighbor's abuse and lawbreaking behavior here, which is creating a problem for other people who want to follow the issue. For other people interested in the horror that is happening to my girlfriend and I, they will not be able to thoroughly track the documentation of the abuse in this request since most of it is in my previous request.

People should not have to jump between different requests on this website just to follow one issue. There should be a 1 to 1 relationship between every issue and request on this website. IT does not make sense for me to have to submit 2 requests, 3 requests, 4 requests, etc, just to document ONE problem. ONE PROBLEM should equal ONE request. Unfortunately, because my requests are constantly being censored, deleted and closed by corrupt city employees, I am forced to submit multiple, duplicate requests just to keep documenting the problem for the world to see. I should not have to do this. Please restore my request immediately.

Every single day and night we are kept awake by loud rap music, screaming and barking from the dogs at 2614 Central Ave. Every day the owner trespasses on our property, every day his family members come on our property to vandalize my mailbox and steal my mail. every day they abuse us. every day. they did it again this morning, last night. For 9 months straight, I have been using this SeeClickFix request to document the ongoing harassment and abuse by my neighbors, who have continued subjecting me, my girlfriend, and my other neighbors in my building to horrific abuse for almost 2 years straight now.

For some inexplicable reason (probably just to sweep the issue under the rug), 15 minutes ago today (Monday, December 2nd, 2019), my 9-month old request was forcefully closed and placed into a permanently closed state, preventing me from commenting on or re-opening the request, by Alameda police officer Florence Lopez.

Police have made numerous attempts in the past to dismiss and sweep my request under the rug. In a separate, related request, a police officer posted a comment falsely saying "The issue has been dealt with" and then attempted to close it, only for me to re-open it again and point out (along with a wealth of video proof, written documentation, etc) proving, CONCLUSIVELY, that the problem WAS NEVER "dealt with" at ALL and remains a massive nuisance to this day.

What should I do if I am suffering extreme sleep deprivation that is causing me to develop severe, potentially life-threatening health problems due to a group of degenerate neighbors who intentionally harass me every single day and night and deny me the ability to sleep? I've been reporting them to the police, the city manager's office and the city council since April of 2018 and nothing has been done. I can't afford to move. My doctor said that if I continue losing sleep, I could suffer life-threatening health consequences. My life is literally in danger. Does the city do anything to help people in my situation or do you just let people die?
