I posted on Thursday about the overflowing trash. It’s now Saturday and the trash is even worse. Pepe’s and Sally’s need to take some ownership over this problem as well. City trashcans aren’t suited for pizza boxes.

The trash in the park on Wooster St needs to be picked up. It’s only Thursday and the weekend rush will make this a lot worse.

Wooster Memorial Park used to have a “No Dogs Allowed” sign, which greatly deterred people (especially pizza-eating tourists) from bringing their dogs into the park. But now the sign has gone missing and people are bringing their dogs in increasing numbers. This park is frequented by lots of little kids and it’d be nice to keep it poop-free. Can we please have the sign replaced? I made a similar request to the parks department but they haven’t responded.

The park on Wooster St too often has overflowing trash because of pizza goers. It’s not even the weekend and the trash can is already full of pizza boxes. Sally’s and Pepe’s are a wonderful part of Wooster Square, but they are also the main contributors to the overflowing trash in all of the parks around our little hamlet. I’ve written letters to both establishments asked them to take some ownership of this issue because I don’t think the solution is that the city comes to empty the trash daily Thursday-Sunday, but I’m not sure where else to post this concern.

People bring their dogs into the kids’ park on Wooster St all the time. There is a sign that clearly states there are no dogs allowed, which doesn’t seem to deter people. When I confronted someone as the were bringing their dog into the park their defense was:
    1) the park is technically closed so all rules are out the window
    2) they’ve lived in NH for seven years
    3) other people do it.

My 1.5 year old daughter recently stepped in a pile of dog poop while playing in this park. And being a toddler, she naturally tried to explore it with her hands. This is disgusting and dangerous for small children.
I’m not sure what the solution is since you can’t stop people from breaking the rules but it’s a bummer and leaves no safe place for kids to play.
