    A neighbor informs me this tree by State Line is slated to be cut down. Please keep it. It helps to cool our home and our end of the block in Summer heat. We do not use air conditioning, so we rely on tree cover for protection from heat. We strive do our part to care for the trees in our yard. Moreover, power failures are becoming more frequent for everyone due to the more frequent and intense storms produced by climate change. No one can rely on air conditioning alone for protection from extreme heat. Please keep this tree. Please let me know how I can learn more about the City’s tree plan, and the plan for our block

    Aggressive red-wing blackbirds attack people along the bike trail, southwest end of Wolf Lake (Hammond side). They dive bomb you, scratch at your head, and then fly off. May seem funny, but they could injure a child.

    Please pick up our recycling at 7 Detroit St. It has been a couple of months. I just sorted through it and made sure there was no paper mixed up in it.

    Please remind contractors to lock up the NIPSCO gate at 112th St. by the Wolf Lake substation. They leave the cable on the ground allowing anyone to drive a vehicle into the bike trail area and Illiana Yacht Club area.
